The debate has raged for decades regarding the proper training for soccer athletes. Now, the debate has grown to include how old soccer players should be when they begin to train for strength and fitness off the pitch. Additionally, the controversy focuses and differences and perceived differences between boys and girls, men and women. The data is very clear, soccer athletes, young and old, male and female, are better prepared for competition if their training includes strength and fitness training.
